Timeline
Most orders take 4–6 weeks from start to finish, though timelines vary depending on how quickly I receive your feedback and materials. If I'm waiting on your guest address file, color selections, or design approvals, the timeline may extend beyond the suggested range. Terra Paper Company is not responsible for delays caused by outstanding client information or feedback.
Please make sure the email address you provide at inquiry is accurate — all order communications will be sent there.
USPS & Mailing
Once your invitations leave my studio, they're in the hands of USPS, and Terra Paper Company is not responsible for what happens after that point. This includes, but is not limited to, smudging of printed addresses, mishandling of the invitation or its components, ripping, tearing, opening, or loss during transit.
Upon receiving their invitations, guests may accidentally damage embellishments such as envelope liners, wax seals, or decorative envelopes. This is outside of my control and Terra Paper Company cannot be held responsible for damage that occurs during or after delivery.
If an invitation is returned as undeliverable — due to insufficient postage, an incorrect address, address not found, or any other reason — you're welcome to re-mail it by placing it in a larger envelope, re-addressing it, and applying the appropriate postage. Terra Paper Company will not re-address or resend returned invitations.
As with any mass mailing, approximately 1–3% of pieces may be undeliverable. Please review your address list carefully before submitting it to minimize this. For guidance on preparing your list, visit our guest address guide.
Color
Colors may vary due to differences in screen calibration, paper type, and the handmade nature of the printing process. Letterpress ink is mixed by hand, which can result in subtle variation from what you've seen on screen. I do my best to match colors as accurately as possible, but Terra Paper Company cannot guarantee that printed colors will look exactly as they appear on your display.
Variations
Handmade paper is made one sheet at a time, and natural variation in size, shape, thickness, and color is part of what makes it beautiful. Similarly, the letterpress process creates slight variations from piece to piece — these are not flaws, but the hallmark of a genuinely handcrafted product.
Any item specified as "handmade" or "hand assembled" — including handmade paper, wax seals, and other embellishments — may vary in appearance due to its handmade nature.
Design Customization
All of my designs are intentionally crafted and refined — the typography, layout, and structural elements are part of what makes each one work beautifully. Each order can be personalized with your own wording and color choices, but core design elements remain unchanged. This means I'm not able to alter fonts, text alignment, layout orientation, use of bold or italic styling, font sizing, element placement, or any other changes that deviate from the original design.
These boundaries exist to protect the integrity of the design — and to make sure your invitations look exactly as intended.
Revisions
Every order includes two complimentary rounds of revisions plus a final approval round. The final approval round is intended for minor tweaks only. If significant edits are needed at that stage and an additional round of design work is required, a $75 revision fee will apply.
If you'd like to switch to a different design after your order has been placed, I'm happy to accommodate that change for a $35 design change fee.
Rush Orders
Rush orders are available for an additional $295, subject to availability. Rush service includes your first proof within 1–2 business days (rather than the standard 3–5), same-day or next-day responses during revision rounds, and printing completed in 1–2 weeks rather than the standard 3. Rush service does not include expedited shipping, though that can be added upon request.
Shipping
All orders ship via UPS Ground with a tracking number provided at the time of shipment. Expedited shipping upgrades are available upon request. International clients will receive a separate invoice for additional shipping costs.
Copyright
All designs, artwork, images, and products created by Terra Paper Company are my sole property unless otherwise indicated. Artwork and designs shared during the proofing process remain the copyright of Terra Paper Company and may not be reproduced, used for personal use, or used to create derivative works without written permission.
I retain the right to photograph and share your completed invitations on my website and social media for portfolio and marketing purposes.
Envelope Addressing
Addresses will be printed exactly as they appear on your submitted file. I do not make etiquette corrections, spelling corrections, or formatting changes. Please review your list carefully before submitting — once it's in, I'll print exactly what's there.
Due to the nature of handwritten or calligraphic-style addressing, some pieces may be more difficult for USPS machines to read and may require hand sorting. If an address cannot be delivered, it will be returned to the return address on file. Terra Paper Company is not responsible for resending, reprinting, or reimbursing for pieces that do not reach their intended recipient.
Returns & Reprints
Because every order is custom-made specifically for you, I'm not able to accept refunds or exchanges. That's exactly why I build multiple approval rounds into the process — so you feel fully confident before anything goes to print.
If a printing error is made on my end, I'll either reprint the affected pieces or provide a credit toward the error. If an error in the approved wording is discovered after printing, the cost of reprinting is the responsibility of the client.
